LAMDA Examinations

Students take an annual examination with The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, considered internationally to be the prestigious academy in this work. Exams are usually taken in Verse & Prose Speaking but can be taken in Public Speaking – both of which subjects gain UCAS points at Medal grades Bronze, Silver and Gold. Some students take exams in Acting, Shakespeare and Reading Aloud.

Reading Aloud and Reading at Sight

The ability to read to an audience with confidence, presence and communication is a skill to be valued. Students are taught this technique from the age of ten years.

Acting Lessons

Celia can provide private tuition to both adults and children - both amateur and professional. Auditions for drama school entry are a specialality. Celia's Musical Theatre training means she can help with the presentation of songs.

Private Tuition

Celia can provide additional tuition on techniques of relaxation and stress release, public speaking, interview technique, audition coaching, life skills and mentoring, movement, deportment, mime, and presentation skills. Classes are tailored to the individual needs of the student.

Weddings

Celia can provide quick and easy techniques for settling wedding day nerves, helping you to stay relaxed and fulfill your role. She can also help you to increase your breath capacity and control, and to develop your vocal skills to increase projection, clarity and modulation. In addition she can help you to make your own unique and original speech.

Workshops

Celia gives workshops for children and adults – each individually tailored to needs. A regular is her “Let’s Make a Show” week-long summer drama workshop for children, culminating in a performance for family and friends, which takes place at Riverhouse Arts Centre, Walton On Thames.
